DUSHANBE, November 14, 2014, Asia-Plus — The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection  of Tajikistan  conducted  a joint emergency  room trauma course for emergency medical aid doctors from  Sughd Province.  The course  took  place in the city of Khujand from November 11-13, 2014.

According to the ICR Mission in Tajikistan, this  was the second training  on  emergency  medical  actions  for  20  emergency  doctors  in Tajikistan.  World-class  instructors  of  the  International  Committee  of  the  Red  Cross  in  providing specialized  first  medical aid  taught  methods of standard diagnosis and  therapeutic  procedures applied to patients in order to decrease morbidity and mortality rate as a result  of  a  major trauma.

Conducting of this training was possible due to proactive organizational support of the  Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

“The objective of the training is to increase and strengthen the knowledge and skills of specialists working in the field of emergency medical aid  in Sughd Province”,  reported  Julie Currie – Health Delegate of the ICRC.

Program of the training reportedly included most important issues and aspects, while providing emergency aid, especially in field conditions.
