Belgian authorities review the results of tax reforms in Tajikistan

Negotiations took place in Brussels between the head of the Tax Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan and the leadership of the Federal Public Service Finance of Belgium.

The Chairman of the Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, Nusratullo Muqim Davlatzoda, acquainted the Chairman of the Management Committee (or Steering Committee) of the Federal Public Service Finance of Belgium, Filip Van de Velde, with the main results of the tax reforms implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan in recent years.

An official source within the Tax Committee says the meeting took place on May 11 in Brussels as part of a working visit of the Tajik delegation to Belgium, organized by the Federal Public Service Finance of this country in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

During the negotiations, the parties reportedly discussed pressing issues of tax administration, the reform of the tax systems of the two countries, tax debt management, as well as prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation between the tax authorities of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium.

Special attention was paid to the issues of digitalization in the tax sphere.

The participants of the meeting confirmed the importance of regular dialogue as a basis for strengthening partnership and successfully implementing joint projects. Confidence was expressed that the continuation of joint efforts will ensure stable economic growth and the development of the tax systems of both countries, according to the source.
