DUSHANBE, November 11, 2014, Asia-Plus — A joint operation on combating transnational drug-related crime by China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Tajikistan’s Drug Control Agency (DCA) and DCA’s office in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) has reportedly led to the arrest of Afghan drug trafficker, Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for DCA, told Asia-Plus today.
According to him, the Afghan drug trafficker was detained near the village of Anderob in the Ishkashim district and 12 packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing five kilograms were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
