More than 11,700 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Tajikistan last year

DUSHANBE, January 17, 2015, Asia-Plus – Forty-two countries of the world provided more than 57.8 million U.S. dollars worth of more than 11,700 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan last year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from United States – 56.5 percent; the Netherlands – 9.4 percent; Russia – 7.8 percent; China – 5.8 percent; Denmark – 4.7 percent; South Korea – 2.8 percent; Latvia – 1.8 percent; Germany – 1.6 percent; Kazakhstan – 15 percent; Austria – 1.3 percent; Estonia – 0.9 percent; Slovenia and India – 0.8 percent each; Switzerland – 0.6 percent; France – 0.5 percent; Iran – 0.4 percent; Malaysia and Spain – 0.3 percent each; Bulgaria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Indonesia and Belgium – 0.2 percent each; and others.
