AYNI, June 14, Asia-Plus — The public action “Childhood World” has been launched in Sughd’s Ayni district.
The action is carried out on an initiative of Welthungerhlife German Agro Action project “Improvement of Food Security of Households in Zeravshan Valley” under financial support of the European Commission.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the project community development specialist, Ms. Maya Ahmadova, said that the initiative is dedicated to unite people to provide assistance to children left without care, disabled children and those living in orphanages.
According to her, they are collecting clothes and toys as well donations for purchase of food products and necessary medicines for them.
“Similar action was carried out in the neighboring Kuhistoni Mastchoh district and children from poor families received clothes and food products,” Ahmadova said, noting that they also plan to carry out similar action in remote villages of the Zeravshan Valley in August ahead of the beginning of the new school year.
