DUSHANBE, February 26, 2015, Asia-Plus — Road-servicing directorates of all the four Dushanbe’s districts demand management of the national TV channel, Shabakai Avval (Channel One), stop releasing biased and unfounded information about state of roads in the city.
A statement released by the mayor’s office on behalf of heads of the road-servicing directorates, in particular, notes that a TV newscast of Shabakai Avval, Akhbor, reported on February 24 that the Dushanbe road-servicing directorates failed to take adequate measures to remove effects of heavy snowfalls that hit the city on February 24.
They denied that information as absolutely baseless. “Owing to the weather forecasts we knew about snowfalls in advance and took adequate measures to remove the snowfalls effects. 136 snow removal vehicles were involved in clearing the roads and more than 1,745 tons of reagents were used to treat the roads,” the statement says.
The statement also notes that TV reports have been prepared by order of certain persons.
Meanwhile, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has sacked heads of state unitary enterprises Avtobus-1 (bus fleet) and Trolleybus (trolleybus carbarn) for failing to provide proper passenger transport services on February 24.
