KHOROG, May 30, Asia-Plus  — Defense Minister, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev arrived in Gorno Badakhshan yesterday for a working visit.

According to the GBAO regional military registration and enlistment office, the aim of defense minister’s visit to the region is to inspect military units stationed in Gorno Badakhshan as well as work of local military recruitment offices.   

“Yesterday, the minister visited the military unit stationed in the Darvoz district as well as recruitment offices in the Darvoz and Vanj districts,” said the source at the regional recruitment office.  “The minister is currently in the Ishkashim district to get acquainted with work of local recruitment office.”
