Abdul Roziqov appointed to head Tajik drug police

DUSHANBE, May 24, Asia-Plus  — Lieutenant-Colonel Abdul Roziqov, formerly deputy chief of the Interior Ministry directorate for combating drug trafficking (drug police), has been appointed to head this directorate.

He replaced Fayzullo Gadoyev, who was dismissed last November already in connection with transfer to other job.  Major-General Fayzullo Gadoyev had headed the Tajik police directorate for five years.  

            Abdul Roziqov has served with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) since 1990.
