DUSHANBE, April 24, Asia-Plus  — Tajikistan’s savings bank, Tajikamoantbonk, has been honored with international prize – European Quality Award, according to Amonatbonk’s head office in Dushanbe.  

The bank has been honored with this award for high quality indicators, the source at Amonatbonk said.  The ceremony for awards winners was held in Amman in early May on sidelines of international investment forum of the countries of Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.  

“The award gives the bank the right to post appropriate symbolics on business documentation and the award attributes for advertising purposes,” the source said.    

In the meantime, it is not the first award of the bank over the past month.  Earlier, the Amonatbonk head, Mr. Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov was honored with international award “The Laurels of Fame” for professional achievements and high quality of the offered services.  

Besides, the country’s savings bank is also laureate of the image program “Leaders of the 21st Century” and awarded with Golden Jaguar for unstained reputation in business and high-quality of products and services in banking activity.   

2008, Amonatbonk’s capital rose 45.6 percent in the year to April 1, 2008, reaching 36.2 million somonis (equivalent to more than $10.6 million).  The bank’s assets doubled in the year to April 1,2008, reaching 341 million somonis (nearly $100 million).
