DUSHANBE, May 18, 2015, Asia-Plus – Over the first four months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of more than 3.8 billion somoni (equivalent to some 570 million USD) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 115.2 percent.

Of 1,812 industrial enterprises registered in the country, 408 enterprises have not been in operation over the report period.

Of the 90 basic types of industrial products, the output of 49 (54.4 percent) has increased in January-April this year, and the output of 25 items (27.8 percent) has decreased over the same four-month period.  Sixteen (17.8 percent) basic types of industrial products have not been in operation over the report period.
