Dushanbe. 28 August. “Asia Plus” — Tajikistan plans to attract investments of the Japan Bank for realization the projects on construction and reconstruction of the infrastructure of the country.

As reports the press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), on Wednesday the Deputy Chairman of NBT Umeda Latifova met with the representative of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), the Japanese corporation Nippon Electric Corporation (NEC), the Japanese company Ogawa Seiki Co. Ltd and the Swiss company Inversion Technologies SA.

“At the meeting were discussed the financing issues of the projects related to the construction and reconstruction of the infrastructure of Tajikistan with the assistance of grants, long-term loans and investments of the Japanese Bank,” – said in a statement.

During the meeting it was noted that in the future it is planned to establish mutually beneficial cooperation between the Japan Bank for International Cooperation with the banking system in Tajikistan, in particular with the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation was created in 1999 by the merger of the Japan Eximbank and the International Fund for economic cooperation.
