DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus — A two-day roundtable meeting to work out a strategy and components of a complex plan of training of HIV/AIDS specialists for 2008-1010 is opening in Dushanbe today.
Dilshod Poulodov, the AIDS Foundation East-West (AFEW) project manager in Tajikistan, said that the meeting that is bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Health (MoH), Tajik State Medical University and the Institute for Post-Diploma Training of Physicians will also discuss issues related to spread of HIV and hepatitis in Tajikistan and assess the situation of training of the HIV’AIDS specialists in Tajikistan.
Besides, the meeting participants will discuss prognosis for spread of epidemic in Tajikistan and outline priorities of training of the HIV specialists.
