KULOB, April 17, Asia-Plus — Construction of the second platform has started at the freight yard of the railway station in Kulob.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Kulob railway station head Komil Halimov said that the new platform will also accept cargoes intended for entrepreneurs and enterprises from Gorno Badakhshan.
“At present, the Kulob freight yard is mainly accepting cargoes,” said Halimov. “Over the first three months of this year, 13,790 tons of cargoes have been shipped through the Kulob railway station.”
Besides, more than 1,500 people, mainly labor migrants, have been carried by the train Kulob-Moscow over the report period, the railway station head said.
