At Dushanbe International Airport, employees of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population (MoLMEP) of Tajikistan regularly meet with citizens returning from labor migration in Russia, as well as those planning to depart for this country.

An official source within the MoLMEP Migration Service says the main goal of these meetings is to assist returning migrants in finding employment within the country, as well as to engage them in professional training and foreign language courses. Particular attention is paid to enhancing the qualifications of citizens to facilitate their integration into the domestic labor market.

For those departing to Russia, consultations are conducted on preparing to undergo border and migration procedures. Specialists clarify the document requirements and provide recommendations to help avoid potential issues when crossing the border.

Migrants are also reminded of the necessity to check in advance for the right to enter Russia. It is recommended to contact the representative office of the migration authorities of the Russian Federation in Dushanbe for this purpose.

During the meetings, citizens are informed about the latest changes in Russia’s migration legislation. This allows future labor migrants to prepare in advance and avoid violations of the legal regime of stay.

Special attention is given to employment issues within the country. According to the Migration Service, vacancies are offered to returning citizens in the construction sector, including participation in large infrastructure projects such as the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant, as well as in agriculture and industry. Simultaneously, they are offered professional training in institutions of the Ministry of Labor.

Additionally, the requirements of Russian legislation are explained: foreign citizens are obliged to notify the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs about the conclusion of an employment contract within two months after obtaining a patent. This can be done via postal service, the “Gosuslugi” portal, or by personally visiting authorized centers. Failure to comply with these requirements can lead to the loss of legal status, annulment of permit documents, and inclusion in the registry of controlled individuals.

Citizens are also reminded of the necessity to have a complete set of documents, including medical certificates, test results, documents confirming the absence of a criminal record, and proof of professional qualifications.

Additionally, the procedure for participating in the state program of organized recruitment for employment in Russia is explained. It provides for legal processing, social guarantees, including medical insurance and housing, as well as support at all stages — from job selection to departure.

The Migration Service emphasizes that such meetings help citizens better navigate labor migration issues, make more informed decisions, and reduce risks associated with going abroad.
