DUSHANBE, January 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – In 2015, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power and natural gas, amounted to more than 4.3 billion U.S. dollars, which was 82 percent of the 2014 level or nearly 950 million USD fewer, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Last year, the trade balance was negative and amounted to more than 2.5 billion U.S. dollars.

Exports of goods in 2015 amounted to little more than 890 million U.S. dollars, which was 8.9 percent or 86.7 million USD fewer than in 2014.

Imports of goods into the country last year amounted to more than 3.4 billion U.S. dollars, which was 20.1 percent or 862.54 million USD fewer than in 2014.

In 2015, Tajikistan had trade relations with 88 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.

Last year, major trade partners of Tajikistan were:  Russia – more than 1.1 billion USD; China – 793 million USD; and Kazakhstan – 702 million USD.
