On May 31, the first flight from Tehran arrived in Dushanbe after a three-month break in air communication between Tajikistan and Iran.
Flights were suspended about three months ago against the backdrop of escalating tensions surrounding Iran following military actions that began on February 28. The resumption of flights is an important step in restoring transportation links between the two countries.

The first flight of the Iranian airline “Vorish” brought 92 passengers to the capital of Tajikistan. According to Dushanbe airport, most of the arrivals are citizens of Iran.

At Dushanbe International Airport, passengers were greeted by relatives, friends, and loved ones.
On the return flight from Dushanbe to Tehran, 122 passengers departed on the same day.

The resumption of air communication will facilitate travel for citizens and will also contribute to the development of business and humanitarian ties between Tajikistan and Iran.
