DUSHANBE, May 18, 2016, Asia-Plus – Over the first four months of this year, an overall space of 161,000 square meters in residential buildings has been made available in Tajikistan, which is nearly 30 percent fewer than in the same period last year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the same period of 2015, an overall space of 230,000 square meters in residential buildings was made available in the country, which was 34 percent more than in January-April 2014.

In January-April this year, residential buildings in the country have reportedly been constructed mainly by entities of the non-governmental sector, a considerable portion of which is taken up by the people.

Over the same four-month period, only one general educational school to accommodate 120 pupils has been put into operation in Tajikistan.

Meanwhile, five general educational schools to accommodate 424 pupils were put into operation in the country in January-April last year.
