            KHUJAND, February 27, Asia-Plus  — Humanitarian aid is continuing to arrive in the Sughd province.  

According to the Sughd health directorate, humanitarian assistance provided by the UNCIEF CO Tajikistan arrived in the province on February 25.  The assistance included obstetric kits, oxygen generators, resuscitation kits, electrical heaters, water filters for maternity houses and a bulk of medicine.  

The same day, the assistance was distributed to hospitals and maternity houses in the province.  “The humanitarian aid was distributed to medical facilities in Spitamen, Shahhriston, Isfara, Asht and Jabborrasulvo district,” the source at the Sughd health directorate said.  

He added that medical equipment provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) arrived in Sughd on February 20.  The assistance was distributed to medical facilities in Ayni, Panjakent, Mastchoh and Spitamen districts.
