Trading opportunities of Afghanistan and Tajikistan will be discussed tomorrow, on August 16, in Dushanbe during a same name round table.
As reported the press-service of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tajikistan, this event is held in order to “support and promote the development of trade between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.”
It is expected that Tajik entrepreneurs will receive information on trade opportunities with Afghanistan, represented by the commercial attache of Afghanistan and establish business contacts with business-diaspora of the neighboring country.
“Business-diaspora of Afghanistan can learn about business opportunities in Tajikistan and to share their experiences and views on the introduction of business in the Republic of Tajikistan”, – said the source.
According to the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan, the volume of trade between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the first half of this year fell by 43.5% in comparison to the same period of 2015.
In January-June of this year the total trade between the two countries amounted to slightly more than $31 million.
The fall of the Tajik-Afghan trade turnover in the relevant structures of Tajikistan associated with the growth of instability in northern Afghanistan.
