In Dushanbe was held a meeting of Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdusalam Curbonien with the International monetary Fund mission under the leadership of Paul Ross.
According to the Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, during the meeting the sides paid special attention to issues of fiscal and banking policy, the execution of the budget in 2016, the expected revenues, the planned deficit and sources of its funding, and the budget forecast for 2017 and medium term.
Paul Ross has shared his opinion about the planned mission goals and objectives, presenting its recommendations and suggestions for discussion of a new three-year program under the extended credit facility.
The parties paid special attention to issues concerning social security expenditures, to the status and projections for external debt servicing, monitoring of public enterprises and relations of Tajikistan with other international financial and banking institutions.
It is noted that at the same time the mission will conduct the necessary discussions on the main directions of economic policy with the relevant departments of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of
