“Pamir invest -2016” forum takes place in Khorog, in the work of which participate the representatives of state, public and business structures of the region, countries and international organizations and media.
Welcoming the participants the Chairman of GBAO Shodihon Jamshed expressed the hope that discussions on the forum will help to attract the attention of domestic and foreign investors on seizing opportunities and solving GBAO problems in the production and development of tourism infrastructure in the region.
In his welcome speech to forum participants Muminzoda Abdulmajid Mumin – the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on investments and state property, Deputy Minister of economic development and trade of Tajikistan Umed Davlatzoda, Martin Rossman – the head of the Department of economy and ecology of OSCE Dushanbe Bureau, Yodgor Faizov – the executive Director of the Aga Khan Foundation in Tajikistan have also expressed their opinions about the importance of such meetings of discussion and resolving the problems of regional development.
During the first day of the forum were listened to and discussed the issues of investment climate of the country and the possibility of attracting investments, economic development of GBAO in 2016-2020 and opportunities to improve the investment climate, development of tourism and use of natural resources as two of the most viable sectors for further development of Gorno-Badakhshan.
Before the forum the organizing Committee received about 70 business projects from GBAO entrepreneurs on establishment and development of production in various sectors of economy of the region.
The outcome of the Forum will be the signing of memoranda of agreements and agreements on further cooperation in various sectors of the economy of the region.
The Forum is organized by the State Committee on investment and state property of Tajikistan, executive body of state authority of GBAO and the Association of entrepreneurs and mountain farmers “Milal Inter”.
