The first in Tajikistan multi-level underground car Park will be built in the regional center of Sughd of Khujand city.
Symbolic brick for the construction of a 12-storey residential building on the Avenue named after Ismail Somoni, under which will be a giant Parking on 2 thousand cars, was laid on the 30th of August by the Chairman of Sughd region Abdurahmon Kodiri.
As it was noted during the presentation of the project of the complex, located near the famous Panjshanbe market in the area of one hectare, there will be built two high-rise buildings – 9 and 12-storey residential buildings, multi-level underground Parking on 2 thousand places at once, as well as a shopping center and children's playground.
The sports complex Jubilee and Planetarium of Khujand city, which were located here, will be re-built in other parts of the city. So, the gym "Jubilee" for 1,000 seats will be built in mahalla "Bofanda" and new "Planetarium" will be placed in the Park of "Peoples’ friendship" in 32nd district. Here will be built a new Park named after Abumahmud Khujandi with the national colors and architecture. It is anticipated that the Park will become a place of rest and leisure of citizens.
According to the workers, the construction of multilevel Parking was provided because of the increasing number of cars and traffic jams in this crowded place of the city. The construction of this complex with high-rise buildings and Mall will be made with the peculiarities of the national architecture, the object appearance will be combined with the historical buildings of Panjshanbe area.
The head of the region recommended putting in the project the construction of a shopping center and a kindergarten over an underground Parking lot. The construction of the kindergarten will be effective from the point of view of satisfaction of citizens’ demand for preschools, he said.
The construction of these facilities will be carried out by local entrepreneurs.
