            DUSHANBE, December 4, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan stands third place among CIS states in terms of industrial growth rate, living behind Russia, the CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics said.     

 According to Tajikistan State Committee for Statistics, the rate of industrial growth in the country for January-November this year has been 8.6 percent. 

 The CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics says that Azerbaijan with a 26.4 percent rate tops the CIS countries in industrial growth rate.  It is followed by Ukraine, where the rate of industrial growth for January-October 2007 has been 11 percent.  

Belarus with an 8.2 percent rate stands fourth place, followed by Russia with a 6.5 percent rate.  

In Kyrgyzstan, the industrial growth rate for January-October 2007has been 5.5 percent, and in Kazakhstan 4.5 percent.  

According to the CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics, a volume of production of industrial goods within the CIS area rose 7 percent in the year to November 1, 2007.
