DUSHANBE, December 4, Asia-Plus  — A republican scientific conference formally titled “Topical Issues of Reconstructive Surgery” was held at Tajik Medical University in Dushanbe on December 1.  

Toshpoulod Gulmurodov, the director of the Republican Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, said that the conference, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Tajik microsurgery service, brought together researchers and specialists in microsurgery and reconstructive surgery to discuss issues related to training of medical personnel, provision of new medical equipment, etc. 

The conference participants pointed to the necessity of setting up microsurgery centers in all regions of the country in order to make microsurgery aid available to all the population.
