DUSHANBE, November 28, Asia-Plus  — A specialized medical center for Muslims will be opened in Moscow soon.  It will be the first of its kind medical facility in the Russian Federation.  

Darya Dmitriyeva of Type Market company told Asia-Plus that the center is established on the basis of the Tzena Kachestvo (Price & Quality) polyclinic at the Vologogradsky Avenue.  According to her, they took into consideration cultural heritage of Islam, its requirements and features while establishing the center.   

“Architecture and design of the building with a total area of 650 square meters have been projected in accordance with canons of Islam, “said Dmitriyeva, “Skilled specialists working with the center have been instructed in principles of medical ethics in Islam.”

She added that the center also has rooms for Islamic ablution and prayer house, and the center’s cafeteria offers its patients halal-standard soft drinks and food products.  

An official opening of the center will be held on December 5 and a news conference on this subject with participation of representatives from Russia’s State Duma, Ministry of Health and Social Development, Council of Muftis of Russia, and the Tzena Kachestvo chain of clinics will be held in the building of the News Agency Itar-Itass the same day.   

“The next such center is expected to be opened in Kazan, said Dmitriyeva, “A total cost of these two projects being implemented by Tzena Kachestvo under support of the Council of Muftis of Russia is $10 million.”
