Dushanbe, November 28, Asia-Plus  — Some 10 young boxers are representing Tajikistan in the Asian Junior Championships that started in Almaty, Kazakhstan on November 26.  

Bobojon Mahmadrasoulov, President of Tajikistan’s Boxing Federation, told Asia-Plus that participation of Tajik athletes in the championships had become possible due to support of sponsors.   

According to him, estimated budget for participation of one sportsman in the Asian Junior Championships is some $1,000, including travel and accommodation expenses.  

More than 100 young sportsmen from 18 Asian countries will compete in 11 weight categories, Mahmadrasoulov said.    

The competition will last till December 2.
