Turkish Chamber of Commerce’s officials visit Tajikistan


DUSHANBE, November 26, Asia-Plus  — State of bilateral trade relations between Turkey and Tajikistan were major topic of discussions of representatives of Turkey’s Chamber of Commerce with Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) head Sharif Said in Dushanbe at the end of last week.  


The source at a CCI said that Ahmet Ataker, Trade Counselor, Turkish Embassy in Dushanbe, joined Shaban Dishli and Yilmaz Almai, members of the board of Turkey’s Chamber of Commerce, as well as Tulai Bakhcheteppe, the head of the Exhibition and Fair department of Istanbul’s Chamber of Commerce, in the discussions.  

The sides discussed issues related to organizing and holding exhibitions of Turkish goods in Tajikistan and holding conference of Tajik and Turkish businessmen in Dushanbe. 

In the course of the talks Turkish entrepreneurs touched upon factors that to certain extent impede expansion of active bilateral trade relations, including complicated visa processing procedure in Tajikistan and absence of Tajik Consulate in Istanbul, the source said.  

For his, part, the Tajik CCI head assured Turkish guests that all exiting obstacles will be removed in the near future.
