A gang suspected of robbing apartments rented by Chinese nationals has been broken up in Dushanbe. A gang suspected of robbing apartments rented by Chinese nationals has been broken up in Dushanbe.

According to the Interior Ministry press center, the gang was organized by a 60-year-old resident of Dushanbe, Homid Davlatov, and its members included Aziz Bouriyev, 17, Sharaf Shamshod, 15, Shukrullo Odilov, 26, and Abdusattor Pirov, 34. 

Over the past two months, they have reportedly robbed several apartments rented by Chinese nations.  “In three apartments alone, they have seized more than 1.233 million somoni,” the press center says.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the robbers and an investigation is under way.
