Police have broken up three ethnic organized crime groups in Moscow oblast, according to RIAMO (Regional news agency of Moscow oblast).
Two of them were reportedly comprised primarily of natives of Tajikistan and the third one was comprised of natives of Dagestan (Russia’s autonomous republic) and Azerbaijan.
“The groups that were comprised of natives of Tajikistan were robbing in Domodedovo, Lybertsy, Mytishchi and Pushkin district,” Colonel Boris Lakhovsky, an official with the Interior Ministry’s Main Directorate for Moscow Oblast, told RIAMO in an interview.
According to him, the group that was comprised of natives of Dagestan and Azerbaijan was robbing banks and jewelry stores in Elektrostal and Noginsk district.
