Tajikistan’s investment portfolio includes 68 projects totaling 3.19 billion USD

Tajikistan’s investment portfolio rose 13 percent (339 million U.S. dollars) in a year to March 31, 2018, reaching 28.1 billion somoni (equivalent to 3.19 billion U.S. dollars), according to the State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).

Tajikistan’s investment portfolio now includes 68 projects, including 23 grant, 14 loan and 31 mixed-finance projects.  

“1.48 billion USD has been drawn in the framework of these projects so far, which is 46.3 percent of the total amount” a source at GosKomInvest said.

Over the first three months of this year, Tajikistan has reportedly concluded eight new agreements totaling some 90 million USD with development partners.  

Within the next fourteen years, the Tajik authorities plan to attract annually more than 4 billion U.S. dollars in private investments.  In all, more than 50 billion U.S. dollars are expected to be invested in Tajikistan’s economy over the report period.
