Resident of Mastchoh district (Sughd province) has brutally killed his sister-in-law (his brother’s wife) following family quarrel, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

The tragedy reportedly took place in the Paldorak jamoat on May 23.  The 43-year-old resident of Paldorak inflicted twenty stab wounds on his brother’s wife following family quarrel.  The 42-year-old woman died on the spot.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the man under the province of Article 104 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – murder; an investigation is under way.
