DUSHANBE, August 21, Asia-Plus – On Monday August 20, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev singed an edict appointing Magerram Aliyev as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan.
The News Agency Bakililar.AZ noted that Magerram Aliyev had previously served as chief of the Baku police directorate.
We will recall that on August 13-14, President Emomali Rahmon was in Baku on an official visit. Rahmon and his Azeri counterpart, President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration registering their shared position on economic integration and bilateral and regional cooperation. Besides, government-to-government agreements on trade, avoiding dual taxation, science and technology, education, and communications were signed during Rahmon’s visit to Azerbaijan.
