DUSHANBE, August 20, Asia-Plus — As of July 31, a regulative capital of AgroInvestBonk has amounted to 72,692,215 somonis (equivalent to more than 21 US dollars), and the bank’s net profit 57.1 percent in the year to July 31, 2007, reaching 11,972,998 somonis, Muhiba Mahmadjonova, the chairwoman of the marketing and public relations department of AgroInvestBonk, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to her, 256.553 million US dollars, 859.253 million Russian rubles and 511,740 euros have been remitted to the bank over the first seven months of the year.
“As of July 31, 2007, AgroInvestBonk has provided loans for a total amount of 414,219,240 somonis,” said Mahmadjonova, “Of this amount, 125,789,847 somonis have been provided in microloans.”
“Population’s deposits in the bank rose 80.8 percent in the year of July 31, 2007, reaching 362,587,156 somonis,” the AgroInvestBonk official said, noting that the amount of interbank borrowings aimed at providing loans to the population has amounted to 44,139,025 somonis.
Founded in 1992, AgroInvestBonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 57 other branches across the republic.
