DUSHANBE, August 20, Asia-Plus — 33 countries of the world have provided humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-July this year.  

During this period, 13.4 tons of goods worth more than $39.2 million were delivered to the country, the State Committee for Statistics said.   

The humanitarian aid included 5,442 tons of wheat flour for $2.3 million, 2,599 tons of vegetable oil for $3.5 million, medicines and medical equipment for $22.5 million, also footwear and clothing for $3,000, as well as transportation vehicles, petroleum products, computers and so forth. 

Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 66.2 per cent, Latvia – 7.8 per cent, Denmark – 3.8 percent, Germany – 1.8 per cent, China and the Netherlands – 1.3 percent each, and of the CIS countries: Russia – 6.8 percent, Kazakhstan – 4.4 per cent, Kyrgyzstan – 0.5 percent and so forth.
