DUSHANBE, July 31, Asia-Plus – Itar Tass — Kyrgyz presidential staff chief Medet Sadyrkulov demanded the punishment of medics who are guilty of AIDS/HIV infection of people in the Osh region.

He sent a letter to the prosecutor-general with the recommendation of ascertaining and bringing to criminal responsibility the guilty persons.

The Health Ministry said that nine out of 11 infected residents of the Nookatsky district were children.

The mass media reported the HIV cases three days ago.

Repeat laboratory tests have confirmed the diagnosis.
