Over the first nine months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan has amounted to 3.158.3 billion U.S. dollars, which was 101 percent of the January-September 2018 level or 31.6 million U.S. dollars more, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The trade balance over the report period was negative and amounted to 1.621.7 billion U.S. dollars.
In January-September, exports of goods have reportedly amounted to 768.3 million U.S. dollars, 5.0 percent or 40.4 million U.S. dollars fewer than in the same period last year. .
Over the same nine-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to 2.390 billion U.S. dollars, which was 3.1 percent or 72.1 million U.S. dollars more than in the same period last year.
In January-September, Tajikistan has reportedly had trade relations with 102 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.
Over the first nine months of this year, the major trading partners of Tajikistan were Russia (the two-way trade between Tajikistan and Russia has valued at 747 million US dollars over the report period), Kazakhstan (630 million U.S. dollars), China (453 million U.S. dollars), Turkey (275 million U.S. dollars), and Uzbekistan (264 million U.S. dollars).
