DUSHANBE, July 25, Asia-Plus — As of July 1, 2007, wage debts to employees working with the federally funded organizations have reached 330,00 somonis, Finance Minister Safarali Najmuddinov told journalists today.  

The minister added that this amount had accumulated in the northern district of Asht over the previous years, while this year, wages have been paid opportunely.  

According to him, the problem of wage debts in the agrarian sector remains acute.  “We consider it necessary to make inventory of debts and we will probably issue securities by wish of farmers of course,” Najmuddinov said.   .

On the necessity of adoption of an additional budget, the minister noted that the additional budget had been adopted in connection with positive economic results.  “We expect total revenue return to have reached 10.9 billion somonis, but actually, this figure may exceed 12 billion somonis,” the minister said.
