DUSHANBE, July 17, Asia-Plus — Administration of AmonatBonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) is seriously concerned over an incident that occurred in bank’s branch in the Konibodom district last Sunday, the AmonatBonk chairman Mamadamin Mamadaminov told journalists in Dushanbe on July 16.
According to him, it is the first case in history of AmonatBonk.
The bank top manager noted that according to the preliminary investigation criminals had managed to cut off the signaling system. “The bank administration will take additional measures to strengthen the safety system,” Mamadaminov said.
We will recall that unknown persons robbed the Konibodom branch of AmonatBonk during the night of July 14-15, killing the guard. They seized 56,164 somonis (equivalent to more than $16,200).
