KHUJAND, June 14, Asia-Plus – During his visit to the northern province of Sughd, President Emomali Rahmon has taken trips to the Konibodom and Isfara districts to familiarize himself with activities of their industrial and farming unites.   

During his stay in Konibodom, the head of state met with senior representatives from local authorities to discuss a progress of implementation of president’s decrees and government’s resolutions on taking measures to ensure socioeconomic development of the region. 

In the afternoon, President Rahmon left Konibodom for Isfara, where he held similar meetings.  

 President Rahmon is also scheduled to visit Mastchoh and Bobojonghafurov and a number of other districts in northern Tajikistan to familiarize himself with state of agrarian, industrial, as well as educational and cultural facilities there.  

The visit to Khujand will end with a meeting with local authorities in Khujand to sum up Sughd’s socioeconomic results in January-May and determine tasks for future, according to presidential press service.
