DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus – Open joint-stock company OryonBonk, Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, has been recognized the best under all categories of the Western Union’s Club 500 and Top Country Teams programs of Western Union Financial Services GmbH for Central Asia and Azerbaijan, Asia-Plus has learned at the OryonBonk head office in Dushanbe.  

The source said that the OryonBonk headquarters’ payment point for Western Union money transfer system had become winners under all categories of the Club 500 and Top Country teams programs for 2006 – service quality, volume of remittances and increase of the volume of remittances.   

According to him, OryonBonk headquarters’ payment point for Western Union money transfer system has been member of the Club 500 program since 2003, when the program was launched.  

“The Club 500 program focuses on the 500 most productive service points in the countries of Europe (including CIS), Middle East, Africa and South Asia competitively selected from among more than 150,000 points,” said the source, “At the end of each calendar year, Western Union invites independent auditing companies to inspect all points participating in the program in order to determine winner.” 

Besides, since 2006, Western Union has been running a program to determine the 30 most active service points in the territory of Tajikistan and the OryonBonk’s point for Western Union money transfer system in Tursunzoda was named among them, the source said.
