DUSHANBE, May 30, Asia-Plus — Russia’s Volga-Ural Military District Commander, Army General Vladimir Boldyrev, heading a group of Russian flag officers, arrived in Dushanbe today, Asia-Plus has learned from Pavel Konev, an aide to the commander of the Russian base in Tajikistan. .
According to him, the main purpose of the visit is for General Boldyrev to inspect preparedness sub-units of the Russian military base in Tajikistan for summer training that will start on June 1.
During stay in Tajikistan, General Boldyrev will visit the base’s sub-units stationed in Dushanbe, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa, the aide said.
