DUSHANBE, May 17, Asia-Plus – Youth Week has been launched in Dushanbe today on occasion of an Youth Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on March 23, Asia-Plus has learned from Rajabali Khudoyorov, a spokesman for the Committee on Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of Tajikistan.   

According to him, they have organized various sports, scientific and cultural activities on this occasion.  “During the Youth Week, a mini football tournament among students at the capital higher educational institutions and other sports events will be held in Dushanbe,” Khudoyorov said.   

A scientific-practical conference of young researchers will be held at the Academy of Sciences and a republican festival Makhfili Zarifon (Club of the cheerful and sharp-witted) will be held at the Khokhi Jomi Complex in Dushanbe today.  

An awards ceremony for young journalists, artists and architects will be held on March 23, the spokesman said.
