DUSHANBE, May 15, Asia-Plus – Tajik culture minister is currently on his visit to Iran.  

Tajik Culture Minister Mirzoshorukh Asror heading a high-ranking cultural delegation Arrived in Tehran for a five-day visit on May 12.  

According to the Ministry of Culture (MoC), during his stay in Tehran, Tajik minister has already held a number of meetings with Iranian officials to discuss issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.  During those meetings, Mirzoshorukh Asror voiced Tajikistan’s willingness to expand cultural exchanges with Iran more than ever. 

According to the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, Tajik minister on May 13 visited head office of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in Tehran and held talks with top managers of the Agency.  Pointing to the promotion of spirituality among Tajik people as one of sublime goals of his country, he said that holding joint cultural programs between the two countries will pave the way for achieving such a lofty objective.

The source at a MoC said that said Mirzoshorukh Asror is visiting Tehran at the official invitation of Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Hussein Saffar Harandi. Tajik minister is also scheduled to visit the National Library, the International Center of Islamic Sciences, and Ayatollah Mar”ashi”s Library in Tehran.

Today, Mirzoshorukh Asror is scheduled to meet with Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Hussein Saffar Harandi.
