Traveler Vitaly Khinenzon became the first Tajik who conquered Jomolungau (Everest) – the highest point of the planet. The height of the summit is 8848 m.

As part of an international team, Vitaly Khinenzon went to the Himalayan expedition, which started on April 11 from the city of Kathmandu in Nepal.

The ascent of the international team was carried out with the assistance of the Ukrainian club "Kuluarpohod".

Vitaly is an experienced traveler and has been engaged in mountain tourism and mountaineering since his student days.

Behind him are several hikes of high difficulty in the Caucasus and the Pamirs, and among the conquered peaks: the five-thousanders Kazbek, Elbrus and the seven-thousanders peaks of Ismoili Somoni, Sino and Ozodi (former Lenin, Communism and Korzhenevsky).

The conquest of Everest was planned last year, but due to the global pandemic COVID-19 it had to be postponed.
