Korvon market to open, while highway from it to Dushanbe’s Southern Gate to be closed for rehabilitation

Yuzhnaya Street in Dushanbe’s 64th neighborhood unit will be closed for traffic on June 10, according to the Dushanbe Administration press center.

The street will be closed for traffic from the Korvon market to Dushanbe’s Southern Gate.

The repair work will be carried out by the Directorate for Construction of Government Facilities at President’s Executive Office as part of rehabilitation of the highway from Dushanbe to the city of Bokhtar, the capital of the Khatlon province.

The repair work is expected to be finished in a month, a source within the Dushanbe Administration told Asia-Plus in an interview.

Recall, the Korvon market and other clothing markets are expected to reopen on June 15.

As it had been reported earlier, all clothing markets located in Dushanbe closed down for disinfection from April 30 to May 10.  The term then was extended until June 15 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
