The 18-year-old resident of the city of Hisor has got a lengthy jail term for the brutal murder of his mother and two stepbrothers.
The Supreme Court sentenced Mehrobiddin Vohidov to ten years in prison on June 11. The sentence followed his conviction on the charges of the killing of two or more persons, obviously a minor, or a person known to be in a helpless state (Article 104 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code) and the deliberate destruction or damage of property (Article 255 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code). Vohidov will serve his jail term in the correctional colony with a general regime.
According to the press center of the Prosecutor-General’s Office, Mehrobiddin lived with his mother Musallam Vohidva, stepfather Asatullo Atoyev and stepbrothers Yusuf and Yosinjon.
Musallam Vohidva was reportedly rude to the underage Mehrobiddin and made him do the hardest housework. She loved children from her second marriage more than Mehrobiddin that caused him to hate his mother and stepbrothers, the press center of the Prosecutor-General’s Office says.
On December 12, 2019, Mehrobiddin Vohidov killed his mother and two stepbrothers and set fire to the house and the bodies of the dead.
