According to data from the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, Tajik has exported more than 36,000 tons of farm produce over the first four months of this year, which 67 percent more than in the same period last year.

Dried fruits have reportedly accounted for the bulk of far produce exports reported over the reporting period  – 14,400 tons (8,000 tons more than in the same period last year).

In January-April this year, Tajikistan has exported 4,700 tons of carrots, more than 4,000 tons of onions, about 3,000 tons of cabbages, and 3,900 tons of grapes.

Over the same four-month period, Tajikistan has exported 17.8 million pieces of eggs. 

Meanwhile, Tajikistan has also begun exporting fresh sweet cherries and apricots. 

Tajikistan reportedly supplies fresh vegetables and fruits to Kazakhstan, Russia as well as countries of Europe and Middle East.

Tajikistan exports on average 300 tons of apricots per year.   

Tajikistan’s farm produce exports also include lemons, garlics, beets and other agricultural products.
