DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus – More than 80 international observers, including seven from Ukraine and four from Kazakhstan, have to date sent their documents details to Tajikistan’s Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) for monitoring a voting process in the presidential election set for November 6, according to information from the CCER.

Muhibullo Dodojonov, a spokesman for the CCER, said the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) intends to send more than 200 observers to monitor the presidential election in Tajikistan.

As it had been reported earlier, all international observers to monitor the voting process during the presidential election in Tajikistan should be registered with the CCER 20 days before the election.  Such a decision was taken at the first session of the CCER on September 4.  During the previous presidential election in Tajikistan, international observers could be registered a day before the voting.
