DUSHANBE, March 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — Issues related to establishment of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation were the focus of a March 20 meeting of chairman of the board of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Agroinvestbonk, Niyozmurod Saidmurodov, with visiting chairman of the board of Latvia’s Trasta Commerzbank, Gundars Grieze, according to Agroinvestbonk’s head office in Dushanbe.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Grieze, in particular, noted that despite the ongoing financial crisis Trasta Commerzbank was currently operating quite successfully on Latvia’s banking market. According to him, Trasta Commerzbank has its representative offices in many cities across the world and it is ready for cooperation with Agroinvestbonk. “The main activity of Trasta Commerzbank is orientated at cooperation with corporate clients,” said Grieze, “However, commerce financing service is also well-developed.”
For his part, Saidmurodov briefed the Trasta Commerzbank head on the present financial situation of Agroinvestbonk. He noted that Agroinvestbonk was one of Tajikistan’s largest commercial banks and it cooperated with many banks in the CIS states, the United States, China, and Afghanistan. “Our bank is interested in establishing cooperation with Trasta Commerzbank,” Saidmurodov said.
Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the country.
