The Government of Tajikistan has issued a decree to defer payment of the Kokhi Navrouz trade and entertainment center tax arrears and interest on them for the period of three years.
A document posted on the Justice Ministry’s legal information website, in particular, notes that Kokhi Navrouz’s tax arrears and interest of them have reached 2.8 million somonis (equivalent to about 250,000 U.S. dollars).
Meanwhile, the information about an owner of the Kokhi Navrouz trade and entertainment center is not available on the Justice Ministry’s website.
Kokhi Navrouz (Navrouz Palace) is a large complex of rotundas, a palace, a cinema, entertainment halls, and meeting rooms.
The construction of the complex building began in 2009 and was completed in September 2014. From the very beginning the complex was planned as Central Asia’s biggest national teahouse, but in the process of building it turned into a real museum of national handicrafts of Tajik people. The whole territory of the complex including fountains, summer pavilions and garden – takes more than four hectares. Approximately four thousands of craftsmen were involved in the process of building.
The complex has seven lifts, including panorama elevator, bowling, billiard, movie theater 3D, night club, shop art gallery and a small national teahouse, but the most breathtaking side of the building is its halls.
